Eating M&Ms by color - it has absolutely no purpose and they’re bad for me, but oh so satisfying.

@OriginalThinker@lemmy.ml, I’m responding to your DM here.

We don’t move posts to the correct community because Lemmy doesn’t have that option - and I’d rather you got to choose where your content lands.

As for why we don’t reach out and tell people - this is a volunteer job on a big community. We rely on the mod log and allow this kind of meta post to stay up for transparency and discussion. Otherwise, we focus on following the rules laid out so that this community can stay within its intended scope. This is a community for open questions and discussion - not support.

I’m sorry you don’t feel welcomed - that’s tough. However, communities come with their own rules and mods will make sure they’re enforced. I’d recommend checking those rules carefully before posting in the future as that will help the reception of your post.

I access Lemmy through the browser all the time. The experience is solid and consistent across devices and I need access to both mod and (occasionally) admin tools.

We could - but we’re still getting comments here. Why not continue to use this thread and sort by new?

Also - this topic doesn’t even really belong in Asklemmy per the rules. If anything, I’m more inclined to unpin it and return to dealing with posts as needed.

It’s not just the mods but the admins going to lengths to keep their instances clean. The awfulness outlined in that post means I’m not sure I should keep hosting my own instance.

Please check the sidebar for tips. Closing per rule #3.

Removing per rule 4 - we’ve have a few similar questions and this doesn’t cover any new ground.

Locking this thread per rule #2; we don’t have the bandwidth to moderate political discussions.

This would be a better fit for a general support community or one of the Pixel communities. Removing per rule #1.

We’ve had multiple discussions similar to this. Removing per rule #4.

I liked it, as long as I looked it at as an interpretation rather than an exact translation.

Accessoires

That may actually be the Dutch or maybe Swedish spelling. They’re all so close but slightly different that I hope auto-correct deals with it.

Maybe they have a rubix cube in one of the shops? Hours of entertainment.

Building on this, you can probably find space in the lounge to do some stretching or basic yoga. Short sessions are good if you have a short attention span. If you’d like a place to start, try Yoga by Adrienne.

Locking this thread down due to breaking instance rule #2.

This is a better question for one of the support communities - please check the sidebar for suggestions. Removing per rule #3.

There are plenty of people who think open source is sexy.

Removing as it’s not an open question and because we have lots of discussions around downvoting.

We’ve had plenty of variations on this topic recently. Removing per rule #4.

Asking about the worst Lemmy communities is an easy way to share negative sentiment which has no real value and causes a lot of work for the mods. We’re a small team and looking at the comments that had already been posted, it wasn’t something that was worth our time to keep up with. Hence rule #2.

I sometimes can’t resist feeding the trolls.

Much appreciated! It’s nice to have a clean, relevant community.

If you’re ever curious about mods’ impact, take a look at the modlog in the sidebar. I’d link it here but it is instance-specific.

Speaking as a real support person, people do ask and it’s fun to come up with responses. It really depends on my mood.

What’s the best Android/iPhone app for Lemmy?

I know it's still early days and we may not have the userbase yet, but I wanted to make sure it exists for those who may want it. > Cozy fantasy is a term to describe lighter fantasy fiction that focuses on warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
